Socrates, the story goes on…
Voices and faces in twelve years of education with a European touch
The Socrates Programme as we know it will draw to a close in December 2006 and a new set of actions will ensue that will take forward the original mission defined in 1995. Socrates must be thanked for the precious heritage it is leaving behind, that is to say an enormous step forward in the European dimension introduced in all EU educational systems, along with a strong influence on society as a whole and on its players.
In order to celebrate the protagonists that have - in line with the EU objectives of stimulating quality education through international dialogue and cooperation - developed projects, mobilities and networks, the Italian Socrates Agency is organising a festive event, with the aim of disseminating the results and illustrating the new, more intercultural identity reached by pupils, students, teachers, schools and further education staff in general.
In the presence of the national and European authorities, the central stage and the meeting and exhibition points dedicated to Comenius, Erasmus and Grundtvig will host the presentation of data, experiences and activities, underlining the vastness of themes and topics tackled, the pedagogical and training strategies developed, and the languages used during these twelve years of education "with a European touch".
