Area: technology
- The school has to guarantee both an intranet and an internet connection to all the computers installed in the school and used both for educational and administrative purposes
- Routine maintenance of the employed technology (including the updating of the content of the website)
- Broad-band connection : schools should keep abreast of new technologies and the associated changes in the way teaching and learning take place. At the moment most countries in Europe are developing fast internet access which will have the potential for considerably facilitating web-based learning.
- Extended access: the employed technology has to be available also in extra-curricular activities outside the school timetable. Access to the cyber world - like in the past to public libraries - does open doors.
